Low Country Quisine was birthed from a true passion for delectable food and a joy of entertaining. As a very young child Enjolik R. Oree-Bailey would spend summers with her grandparents in Charleston, South Carolina. During those visits, her grandparents took pride in preparing each of the daily 3 meals for their family. Enjolik spent hours in the kitchen watching, learning, and helping. This is how she developed the techniques involved in preparing the "Quisine" associated with the "Low Country." By age fifteen, Enjolik was cooking for her own mother, sister, and step-father on almost a daily basis. However, it wasn't until several years later that she realized what had come so naturally was actually her life's passion.
Enjolik began noticing that every party or get together she was invited to attend was prefaced with, "Can you make that shrimp salad" or "Can you make us macaroni and cheese?" these requests began to make her question whether it was her company that was welcome or the dishes! Although Enjolik is gravitating toward a culinary career, she leaves in her footprints several corporate successes, including being a Market Manager for a Marketing Promotions Company, a Co-Owner of a fashion show production company in Atlanta & Dallas, and Top Performing Sales Executive for two Fortune 500 companies. Even in all these feats, nothing makes her as happy as creating new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen.
In 2007 Enjolik decided it was time to succumb to the aroma (of collards, chicken, and red rice) tugging at her heart, thus Low Country Quisine by Jolie' Ramize was born. After talking the idea over with her husband, friends and family her first opportunity to cater a friend's graduation party came knocking. The success of that event gave Jolie-Ramize just the boost of confidence and confirmation she needed to finally accept this is where she belonged!
Enjolik is Co-Owner of Low Country Quisine along with her loving and supportive husband Nicholas J. Bailey. Nicholas, works as a full-time accountant, and is the mastermind behind the LCQ books!
